Training

Remember, its not only fine feathers that make fine birds. It takes time, skills and dedication to learn to fly.

Minnesota Paramotor makes learning safe and fun. Learning to fly is skill oriented rather than time oriented. 4 to 5 days of 4 to 6 hours per day usually is enough time to develop the basic skills of paraglider ground control, flying without the paramotor attached, and first flights with paramotor. Also ground school on weather, FAA Part 103 regulations, paramotor introduction, simulator, paramotor maintenance, paraglider care and folding methods, radio usage, site selection, reserve procedures, reserve deployment in simulator and glider aerodynamics. Advanced paramotoring is offered to those wanting to progress their flying skills and is highly recommended. Soaring and trike use is also offered: Price is $220 per day, includes use of radios and headset, rides to hill or tow site, use of tow rig, instructional tandem flights using paramotor, tow or hill launch and answers to all the questions you have about flying well after instruction is over. Minnesota Paramotor works with paraglider pilots wanting to learn paramotoring and powered paraglider pilots wanting to learn paragliding and advanced soaring.

Pilots have thermal soared almost every month of the year in Minnesota and multi hour thermal flights and distances of 70 miles have been achieved in Minnesota.
